What this site does not do

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking.

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on our homepage, we store your email address, your first name and your role if you give them, the time you signed up, and that you signed up on fdeskool.com. We use this only to tell you when FDE Skool opens and about FDE Skool programmes. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us; we then delete your entry. Otherwise we keep it until FDE Skool stops sending updates.

Event registration. Tickets for FDE Weekend Berlin are sold through Luma, which is embedded on the event page. When you register, Luma processes your registration and payment under its own privacy policy. We, together with our co-organiser Naviu, receive your registration details (such as your name, email address and any answers you give) to review applications and run the event, Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. Loading the event page also loads Luma’s widget, which transmits your IP address to Luma.

Fonts. This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). Your browser therefore connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the site, Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

Server logs. The site is delivered by our hosting provider through Cloudflare’s content delivery network. Like any website, they record technical request data, including your IP address, the time of the request and your browser’s user agent, for security and reliability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely, Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. These logs are kept for a short period only.

Who receives it

Waitlist entries are stored in Google Sheets (Google Workspace), which processes them on our behalf. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare also act as processors on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.

Some of these providers (Google, Cloudflare and Luma) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. We rely on the safeguards permitted by Chapter V GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in the EU member state where you live, work, or where you believe the issue occurred.
